Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC and XE 2021, and a McQueen Edition

The British brand has recently presented its new Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC and XE 2021, and Euro 5.

The mandatory Euro 5 environmental regulations have forced the Hinckley scrambler to be renewed, specifically the Scrambler 1200 XC and XE, which receive a renewed twin -4T, LC, 8V, SOHC, IE, 1,200 c.c. engine with less emissions and lower consumption, but maintaining the same power of 90 hp.

The raised scrambler-type exhaust -logical- is also new, incorporates a new catalyst and now emits less heat thanks to a new protection, something that the pilot and passenger will appreciate especially in summer.

For the rest, the Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC and XE 2021 are exactly the same as the current Scrambler 1200, two off-road motorcycles suitable for asphalt and tracks, with long suspension travels and a very attractive neo retro aesthetic.

2021 Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC / XE are Now Euro 5

Let’s remember that the XE is the version more oriented to the off road, with suspensions of longer travel and more specific components, while the XC is a good balance between asphalt/tracks, but maintaining that beautiful retro stamp.

Evidently,  it maintains all the electronics, its 5 driving modes, 5-position adjustable traction control, USB socket, cruise control and remote key start.

There is no lack of instrumentation by color TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity (optional and with app), full led lighting and backlit pinecones, in which the left includes a joystick.

For 2021, the company presents a surprise, a special edition of the XE dedicated to actor Steve McQueen. The XE, more expensive and oriented to the off road, adds greater suspension travel of 250 mm (200 mm in the XC), longer swingarm (+32 mm), a Continental IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), 6 riding modes (with Off-Road Pro), Cornering ABS and lean-sensitive traction control.

And in addition, the XE has heated grips, adjustable footpegs, aluminum-reinforced handguards and Brembo MCS lever.

But there is more, because to top it off, they present a special version that is very appetizing and for collectors, as they did with their edition dedicated to 007.

It is the Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE Steve McQueen Edition, star of the film The Great Escape, an XE but more accessorized and with exclusive details and decoration.

The Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE Steve McQueen Edition will be produced in only 1,000 units.

It is adorned with trims, radiator protector, old style brown seat, engine protection bars, special paint and gold Triumph logo.

Another detail is that the handlebar clamp bears the signature of the ill-fated actor laser engraved and with the unit number. The certificate of authenticity is not missing.

This special edition McQueen will be produced in only 1,000 units. All these novelties will be available in June at an undeclared price.
