The New Nissan Magnite, a Cheap Small SUV, is launched in India

The new Nissan Magnite has landed in Indian dealerships with great force. Its commercial launch has surpassed all expectations allowing it to boost Nissan’s sales in India impressively. In February 2021 alone, more than 70% of Nissan’s sales in the Indian Territory corresponded to the Magnite.

Nissan has launched all the machinery with the aim of improving its delicate situation in the Indian market. The manufacturer is aware of the role that this emerging country will play for years to come. And that is why it has launched an ambitious product offensive.

The new Magnite is just the first in a long line of new models to land at Nissan’s Indian dealers. This very interesting SUV with subcompact dimensions is supported by the Renault Group CMF-A platform. It has a distinctive design, complete technological equipment and an attractive mechanical offering to differentiate itself from its more direct rivals.

The success of the new Nissan Magnite in India
Its commercial launch took place in December 2020, at which time the first units landed in dealerships. Last month the new Magnite reaped a great result: A total of 2,991 units have been sold. This is an extraordinary figure that exceeds the best forecasts made by the company itself.

To get an idea of the role the new Magnite already plays in Nissan’s Indian range, suffice it to note that its registrations accounted for more than 70% of the company’s sales. Throughout February, Nissan sales reached 4,244 units, which represented a strong growth of 312.8% compared to the same period of the previous year. Growth that would not have been possible without the Magnite.

Since its arrival at dealerships, Nissan has delivered more than 6,500 units of the Magnite. The mechanical offer revolves around two 1.0-liter three-cylinder gasoline engines, always with front-wheel drive. The most powerful engine reaches 95 hp and can be associated with both a five-speed manual gearbox and a CVT-type transmission.
