The Kawasaki KLR 650 is Back Only for US Market

Now Kawasaki resurrects the Kawasaki KLR 650, conveniently updated and in three versions, although only for the American market.

The veteran and reliable 4V air-cooled single cylinder receives the necessary electronic injection. It should be noted the new intake and exhaust profiles on the camshaft, all to achieve a more homogeneous response.

The 5-speed transmission has been optimized and the clutch changes its bearings to soften its behavior and gain in reliability.

As for the chassis, there is a new swingarm, 30 mm longer, and a more robust subframe.

The rims are made of spokes, with very ‘off’ measurements of 21 ”and 17”. The front brake consists of a 300mm disc, bitten by a two-piston caliper, and the rear disc is 240mm, with single-piston caliper, controlled by ABS on Traveler and Adventure trims. In the basic version ABS is optionally available.

Regarding equipment, the new instrumentation is by LCD screen and the main headlight is LED, taken from the Z650. The dome is adjustable in height.
