Subaru BRZ Interior: First Look at the New Generation

Subaru has set the online debut of the second generation of the sports BRZ on November 18. The announcement was accompanied by a teaser showing a portion of the front for the first time, while there is still no information on the mechanics. Curiously, Toyota has not yet made any announcements on its sister GT86, which is also expected at the generational change on the same platform.

New look: For the first time, the teaser shows the optical groups, the hood and a portion of the bumper of the new Subaru BRZ, of which until now they had seen spy photos where it was not possible to appreciate these details. The design of the front is very different from the current one: the headlight is less elongated towards the center and inside it houses two main elements and the LED daytime running light in the lower section. The grille and bumper are not clearly visible, but the cut of the bonnet is reminiscent of the current one and is characterized by sporty lines and curvatures.

Certainly more powerful: The Subaru BRZ could grow from many points of view. The dimensions will not change much compared to the current ones, instead it’s more likely that the updated platform can offer greater torsional rigidity and more generous trackways. Fans, however, are eager to know what will be hidden inside the hood: instead of the 2.0 aspirated 200 hp current could be available a boxer of displacement and higher power, while other rumors speak of an even more performing supercharged unit.
